  Did The "Titles" In The Hall Bother You?

  i always hated the fact that the jws claim they don't take on titles for status and then do just that.

  pioneer,special pioneer, auxillary pioneer, elder, ms,co, do, po etc.

  Yes it always bothered me, even when I was a little kid, an Elder was suppose to be scary to me, like my mom would talk to me like you better act good or Elder is going to see you, or better not sleep during the meetings anymore or Elder Jerkoff is going to have a talk with you, I never respected them or feared them. However kids my own age and my parents and family treated them like if they were Jehovah police.

  obviously this goes out for the christians on the board regardless of denomination or lack thereof as the case may be.. why am i asking?.

  i'm just curious.. i'm always asking myself, "what the hay am i missing?".

  I walked into a Catholic Church in Ireland, and for the first time in my life I felt like I entered a holy place, like god was actually there, Never felt that in the kingdumb hall. My grandma has always been Catholic, she always seemed happy, religous, and always loved all of us, no matter what our "standing' was, it seemed like she had a different relationship with god than ALL of my crazy JW family did, her god was a god of love and forgiveness, I wanted to be apart of that. and now I am a Christian.

  hi,.

  2520 years based on the prophetic year length of 360 days = 907200 days.. 907200 days from 607 bce = 1878 ce thereabouts +/- leap months etc and any other bits ive missed.. surely i've not missed that many "bits" to be 36 years off 1914??.

  have i got this right?.

  Explain to me who goes to heaven and those who will live on earth

  i'm a little rusty.. i remember reading that those who died before jesus's death would all resurrect on earth during the millennium, like john the baptist, who died before jesus.. and mary, although was born before jesus, died after jesus, so she will live in heaven.. so, after jesus's death, who are the 144,000 who will live in heaven with him.

  could an old indian living in australia who never heard about jesus go to heaven....lol.

  ok, so my brother in law, a former elder, decided to grow a beard a while ago.

  he initially grew it because he had a small rash he was trying to cover up, but that has since gone, and he has kept the beard.

  he kept the beard because it made such a fuss that he decided if he shaved it off it would be like giving in to the brothers.

  I always wondered about that, in some pictures of Jesus he kind of has a beard, I mean if you look at most bible pictures most men had beards. I don't see what the big deal over having a beard is other than just another way for them to control you.
